Description
The CHT QLE 1031 is a 100 percent solids, two-part silicone encapsulant and coating built for fabric and cloth substrates that need a tough, flexible protective film. With no solvent to flash off, the mixed material builds full film thickness in a single pass and coats the fibers of the textile it is applied to. The two-component system cures fast while still giving a long enough open time to work across large pieces.
Where the QLE 1031 Encapsulant Is Used
Fabricators use this silicone to coat industrial textiles, coated fabrics, architectural membranes, and cloth that has to resist heat, weather, and repeated flexing. The 100 percent solids formula lays down a continuous barrier that seals the weave and adds abrasion and tear resistance without solvent-driven shrink. Excellent adhesion to the substrate keeps the film anchored through flexing and handling.
How the Encapsulant Performs
The cured film is tough and resilient, holding up to bending and surface wear while staying flexible enough to move with the fabric. Long open time lets a coater spread and level the material over a large area before it sets, and the fast cure that follows shortens the time a piece ties up the line. The result is a durable silicone layer bonded to the cloth.
