Description

CHT QLE 1032 is a two-component silicone encapsulant designed for fabric and cloth coating. The 100 percent solids, addition-cure elastomer forms a tough, flexible coating with excellent adhesion. Its long open time gives operators room to spread, level, and inspect the material before moving the coated part through the qualified cure process.

Where This Encapsulant Fits

Use QLE 1032 when the approved material specification calls for a white silicone coating on fabric or cloth. The 10:1 mix ratio by weight, approximately 46,000 cps viscosity, and 27 Shore A cured hardness distinguish it from neighboring QLE coating grades. The softer cured profile supports flexible coated constructions, while the high-viscosity liquid helps the material stay controlled during application.

Keep the base and catalyst paired by lot and measure the 10:1 ratio accurately. Addition-cure silicone systems depend on clean tools and a qualified process, so prevent cross-contamination and confirm compatibility on the actual substrate before production release.

Processing This Encapsulant

Prepare the fabric or cloth by removing dust, oil, release residue, and other contamination. Apply an even film with the qualified coating method, allow the material to level during its long open time, and complete the documented cure cycle. Film thickness, substrate condition, and cure exposure can change the finished coating, so verify each production setup against the current technical data sheet.
