Description
CHT QSil 567 is a two-part silicone encapsulant built for electrical potting where a hard, thermally stable fill needs to protect components without trapping heat against the housing. The gray, addition cure system mixes 1 to 1 by weight and reaches a repairable Shore A 58 elastomer once cured.
Where this encapsulant is used
QSil 567 fits transformer and coil potting, junction box fill, and electronic module protection where the finished assembly sees a working range from negative 55 to 204 degrees Celsius. The 100 percent solids formula leaves no solvent to off gas during cure, which matters in sealed housings where trapped vapor can form voids around leads and terminals. Its gray color also gives production staff a quick visual check that a cavity has been filled completely before the housing closes.
How this encapsulant performs in service
Cured QSil 567 reaches a tensile strength of 2.14 N per square millimeter and elongation of 85 percent, so the fill flexes with thermal expansion instead of cracking away from leads and terminals. The material meets UL 94 V-0 at 3.0 millimeters, and because it is repairable, a technician can cut back into a potted assembly for rework without replacing the whole unit. Shelf life runs 24 months when the two parts are stored sealed and at room temperature, which keeps working viscosity predictable batch to batch.
