Description
Shin-Etsu KE1311T is a high-strength, high-modulus addition-cure silicone encapsulant supplied in a 20 kg pail for use with the separately sold CAT-1310 platinum catalyst. Addition cure is a two-part mechanism that can provide deep cure, but exact shrinkage, cure conditions, and final properties must come from the KE1311T technical data.
Where This Encapsulant Is Used
Use this encapsulant only after validating the exact KE1311T/CAT-1310 system for the intended assembly or mold. Shin-Etsu warns that addition-cure silicone is vulnerable to cure inhibition; sulfur, amines, organotin compounds, some plasticizers, and contaminated tools can interfere with cure rather than make the catalyst more resistant.
