Description
The Techcon vacuum pick up pen assembly is a standalone tool for handling and placing small components on the assembly bench. Sold alongside Techcon dispenser parts, it uses light vacuum rather than fingers or tweezers to lift chips, seals, lenses, and other delicate items, then release them precisely into place with a controlled vacuum break.
Where these dispenser parts fit
Use the pick up pen for pick and place work in electronics, optics, medical device, and general assembly, often at the same bench as a fluid dispenser. The kit includes a vacuum control console, the pick up pen, 15 and 23 gauge vacuum tips, five vacuum cups in different sizes, air tubing, connectors, and rubber feet. It runs on shop air or can be air powered through a Techcon TS350 Series or TS500R dispenser, with an adjustable knob to set vacuum and a maximum operating pressure of 100 psi.
How the pick up pen is used
Set the vacuum with the control knob, fit the tip or cup that matches the part, touch down to lift, and move to the target before releasing. This is a handling tool, not a fluid outlet, so it is not a mixing nozzle, a 2 part mixing nozzle, or a jb weld mixing nozzle. Keep it with the correct cups and tips for the parts you handle most so a changeover stays quick.
Ordering these dispenser parts
Confirm your air supply and the cup sizes that fit your components before you set up the pen. For related tips, cups, and fluid handling items, browse dispensers, mixers, and nozzles. Current pick up pen information is available from Techcon.
