Description

UltraLok 901 is a two-part, fast-curing polyurethane structural adhesive engineered for high-strength bonding of plastics, painted metals, e-coated steel, and mixed-material assemblies. With a working time of approximately 60 to 90 seconds, UL901 is designed for rapid assembly, repair, and production environments where speed, flexibility, and durability are critical.

UltraLok 901 is part of the UltraLok 900 Series polyurethane adhesive family, which includes multiple formulations with varying working and fixture times to support different assembly speeds, part sizes, and production requirements.

Unlike rigid structural adhesives, UltraLok 901 cures to a tough, flexible bond that absorbs vibration, impact, and thermal movement. This makes it especially well suited for bonding dissimilar substrates and coated surfaces where brittle chemistries such as epoxies or acrylics may be less forgiving.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Fast-curing polyurethane with ultra-short working time

  • Approximately 60 to 90 second open time for rapid assembly

  • Achieves handling strength in as little as 15 to 20 minutes

  • Excellent adhesion to painted metals and e-coated steel

  • Strong bonding to a wide range of plastics and composites

  • Flexible cured bond resists vibration, shock, and fatigue

  • Ideal for bonding dissimilar materials with different thermal expansion

  • Minimal surface preparation required

Typical Applications

UltraLok 901 is used across a wide range of industries and is not limited to automotive applications, including:

  • Bonding painted steel and aluminum components

  • Assembly of plastic housings, panels, and enclosures

  • E-coated metal brackets and structural components

  • Appliance panels and equipment housings

  • Electrical enclosures and control cabinets

  • Signage, displays, and fabricated plastic assemblies

  • Composite to metal bonding

  • High-speed production and repair operations

Compatible Substrates

  • Painted metals

  • E-coated steel
