Description

The Mixpac MFHX 10-24T is a disposable helix static mixer for 4:1 and 10:1 F-System cartridges. It has 24 mixing elements in a 10 mm bore and measures 283 mm (11.14 in) overall. It pairs the high flow of the wide bore with a middle element count, which suits thicker materials that still need a thorough blend. See the full MFHX line for all eleven sizes.

Where the 10-24T fits

  • Wide bore with a middle element count. Use it when the material needs the flow of a 10 mm nozzle but 18 elements did not blend it thoroughly enough.
  • The 10 mm bore keeps pressure drop lower than an 8 mm nozzle at the same element count, which helps on thicker materials.
  • At 283 mm it is 59 mm longer than the 10-18T. Check clearance in fixtures and enclosed assemblies before switching up.
  • Retained volume of 16.70 ml. That is high enough that on expensive adhesives with frequent changeovers, the waste cost is worth running the numbers on.
  • Mounts directly to the cartridge with no converter. Disposable, so no purging or cleanup between batches.

Compatible cartridges

Cartridge system Ratio Fill volume
F-System 200 Industrial 4:1 225 ml
F-System 200 Industrial 10:1 250 ml
F-System 400 Industrial 4:1 415 ml
F-System 400 Industrial 10:1 490 ml

Running a 1:1 or 2:1 cartridge instead? Use the MFH series with white elements. The ratios do not interchange.

Common applications

  • Higher viscosity two-part adhesives and sealants that need thorough blending
  • Larger bead and higher output dispensing from 400 series cartridges
  • Aerospace and aircraft sub-assembly with two-part structural adhesives
  • Automotive body, glass, and trim attachment with methacrylate or polyurethane
  • Transportation, marine, and composite assembly with structural adhesives
  • Wind turbine blade assembly, repair, and field service
  • Construction, concrete repair, and infrastructure work

Ordering

The MFHX 10-24T ships in factory boxes of 900 and is ordered in full box quantities. Pair it with matching cartridges and dispensing guns from the dispensers, mixers, and nozzles category.

Frequently asked questions

What does MFHX 10-24T mean?

MFH is mixer, F-System, helix design. The X marks the 4:1 and 10:1 version with orange elements. The 10 is the 10 mm inner diameter. The 24 is the number of mixing elements. The T is the stepped outlet tip.

What was the old part number for the MFHX 10-24T?

This nozzle was previously sold as the MFX 10-24. The current medmix article number is 102478.

Should I use the 08-24T or the 10-24T?

Both have 24 mixing elements, so blend quality is comparable. The 10-24T has the wider bore for higher flow, a larger bead, and lower pressure drop on thick materials. The 08-24T is 49 mm shorter and holds 7.56 ml less material at changeover. If the 8 mm bore dispenses your material cleanly at the bead size you need, it is the cheaper nozzle to run.

How much adhesive stays in an MFHX 10-24T?

16.70 ml, compared to 12.96 ml for the 10-18T and 21.22 ml for the 10-32T.

Does the wider bore mean I need fewer elements?

No. Bore diameter and element count control different things. Bore sets flow rate and bead size. Element count sets how many times the A and B sides are divided and recombined. A wider bore does not blend better on its own, which is why the 10 mm sizes are offered in 18, 24, and 32 elements.

Will the MFHX 10-24T work on a 1:1 cartridge?

No. MFHX nozzles are built for 4:1 and 10:1 ratios. For 1:1 and 2:1 F-System cartridges, use the MFH series.
