Description
BoaBond Ultimate Trowelable Adhesive is a one-component advanced hybrid (MS polymer) adhesive for broad-area panel bonding and general construction assembly. It spreads with a notched trowel for uniform coverage across large surfaces, grabs fast enough to hold panels in position, and cures to a permanently flexible bond rated for interior and exterior service. No mixing, no metering, no two-part waste. Choose the 1 gallon pail for punch-list and small-run work, or the 3.5 gallon pail for full walls and repeat panel jobs.
Ultimate Trowelable Adhesive Benefits
- One component, so crews spread straight from the pail with no ratio control or pot life to manage
- Trowelable consistency covers roughly 25 to 30 sq ft per gallon with a 1/4 in square-notch trowel
- Fast grab holds panels in place and cuts the amount of temporary bracing a crew has to set
- Permanently flexible cured bond absorbs substrate movement and thermal cycling instead of cracking
- Bonds porous and non-porous substrates, including metal, glass, PVC, and select plastics
- Rated for interior and exterior service from -40°F to 194°F
- 60 minute open time gives crews room to set and adjust large panels
Common Applications
- FRP, laminate, and decorative wall panel bonding
- Wainscoting and other large-surface panel systems
- Gypsum and drywall to metal in panel and enclosure assemblies
- Wood and plywood panel bonding
- Foam-core and backer board assemblies
- Masonry-facing and similar nonstructural construction bonding
Surface Prep and Use
Substrates need to be structurally sound and free of dust, oil, release agents, loose coatings, and standing water. Spread with a 1/4 in x 1/4 in x 1/4 in square-notch trowel as a baseline. Coverage moves with substrate porosity and trowel angle. Set panels into wet adhesive and press or roll the full face for uniform transfer. Open time and skin-over are both about 60 minutes at 73°F. Cure runs roughly 3.3 mm deep after one day and 6.4 mm after seven days, and temperature, humidity, bond-line thickness, and substrate permeability all move those numbers.
Brace or mechanically fasten wherever panel memory, panel weight, jobsite conditions, or code require it. This adhesive does not replace code-required mechanical fastening. Remove wet adhesive promptly with a compatible solvent; cured material has to come off mechanically. Test your production substrate combination before running it on a job.
