Description

Bonstone Invisibond is a two-part flowing epoxy used for countertop fabrication, stone lamination, and structural bonding. It lays down a thin, tight, water-clear bond line that machines, grinds, and polishes flush with the stone. Invisibond is formulated to hold bond integrity in high-humidity, high-heat, and freeze-thaw conditions, and it will not shrink after cure. Also sold under the Touchstone Invisibond name.

Performance in Production

  • Flowing viscosity self-levels into thin, tight bond lines on horizontal laminations and seams.
  • Water-clear and polishable, so cured joints can be machined, ground, and polished flush with the surrounding stone.
  • Compressive strength reaches 4,736 psi, with the stone failing before the bond.
  • Will not shrink, which helps keep seams and miters tight after cure.
  • Formulated to hold up in high-humidity, high-heat, and freeze-thaw environments where some adhesives lose bond integrity over time.
  • Cure speed is temperature-dependent. Every 15°F change roughly halves or doubles set time, and material should not be applied below 55°F (13°C).
  • 15-minute pot life. Mix only what can be used in about 10 minutes.
  • Can be tinted with Touchstone Liquid Tints and dispensed with the Easy Mix Dispenser.

Common Applications

  • Countertop fabrication and lamination
  • Stone lamination and edge build-ups
  • Structural bonding of natural and engineered stone
  • Visible seams and miters where a clean, thin bond line matters
  • Interior and exterior horizontal applications
  • High-humidity, high-heat, and freeze-thaw environments
  • Jobs requiring rigorous machining or grinding after bonding

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Bonstone Invisibond used for?
It is a flowing two-part epoxy for countertop fabrication, stone lamination, and structural bonding of natural and engineered stone.

What is the mix ratio?
2:1, two parts A to one part B.

What is the working time?
Pot life is 15 minutes. Set time is about 2 hours at 75°F, and full cure is 24 hours.

What stone does it bond?
Marble, granite, porcelain, quartz, and engineered stone. Surfaces must be dry and free of oil, grease, and coatings.

Does it hold up outdoors?
It is rated for interior and exterior horizontal use. Under prolonged UV exposure, minimal yellowing and chalking can occur.

Does it hold up in humidity and freeze-thaw?
Yes. It is formulated to keep bond integrity in high-humidity and freeze-thaw conditions, with a heat distortion temperature of 135°F (57°C).

Can it be tinted?
Yes, with Touchstone Liquid Tints.

What sizes are available?
Quart kit, gallon kit, and 5 gallon pail kit.

Available Sizes or Variants

  • Quart Kit (2 Qt A + 1 Qt B)
  • Gallon Kit (2 Gal A + 1 Gal B)
  • 5 Gallon Pail Kit (2 Pails A + 1 Pail B)
