Description
CONATHANE® CE-1155 is a two-component, solvent-based polyurethane conformal coating designed to protect printed circuit boards operating in adverse environments. It is qualified to MIL-I-46058C and IPC-CC-830B and is widely specified in military, aerospace, and industrial electronics applications where long-term environmental protection is required.
CE-1155 cures to a hard, tough protective film that provides excellent resistance to moisture and good abrasion resistance. The cured coating adheres well to phenolic and epoxy-glass laminates and maintains adhesion during thermal shock and humidity cycling. A fluorescent dye is incorporated to aid inspection under ultraviolet light.
The coating may be applied by spray, dip, or brush. Cure can be achieved at room temperature or accelerated with elevated temperatures to match production requirements. CE-1155 is suitable for continuous service temperatures up to 130°C. Defective components can be repaired using standard procedures, followed by spot re-coating without discoloration or degradation of the surrounding film.
CONATHANE® CE-1155 is available in multiple packaging formats to support evaluation, repair, and production use, including quart kits, gallon kits, and custom small-quantity foil packaging. All packaging formats contain the same CE-1155 formulation. Differences are limited to package size and handling format.
