Description
IB4432 white PP tape is a 2.6 mil white polypropylene carrier coated on both faces with 2.4 mils of HTA410 high tack acrylic adhesive. The white PP core does two jobs. It blocks the substrate underneath so a mounted image holds its contrast, and at 2.6 mil it gives a wide panel enough stiffness to stay flat through lamination. A two sided silicone coated 72# bleached PCK liner protects both adhesive faces until assembly.
Where IB4432 white PP tape is specified
Photograph and image mounting is the headline use, along with graphic sign printing and assembly, because the opaque white carrier keeps a dark or patterned substrate from reading through the print. Foam bonding is the other half of the story, since HTA410 takes instant adhesion to polyether polyurethane foams. The tape also bonds ABS, metals, polycarbonate, most foams, fabrics and HDPE, which covers general mounting and bonding work plus felt and fabric applications. At 2.4 mil per side the adhesive wets out into rough or uneven surfaces rather than bridging them.
Stock rolls are 54 inches by 150 feet, a converting width intended for slitting and die cutting rather than hand application. Narrower slit widths can be quoted for a production run.
How IB4432 white PP tape performs
Static shear is rated 50+ hours to fail with 100% elongation. The HTA410 adhesive is solvent and UV resistant, which keeps a mounted graphic from failing behind glass or after a cleaning cycle. Initial tack is high across a wide substrate range, so parts hold position on contact without a clamp. The adhesive itself is clear, so color comes from the carrier and not from the glue line. The bleached PCK liner is moisture stable, holds dimension on a 54 inch wide roll, and releases cleanly from both faces during converting.
The liner is siliconized on both faces and releases from both adhesive sides as the roll feeds, which helps a wide web track straight through a slitter. On the bench, wipe the substrate clean and dry and apply firm even pressure across the full bond area so the adhesive wets fully into the surface.

Set against the 0.5 mil clear PET version of this construction, the adhesive is identical and only the carrier changes. Choose the white polypropylene core when opacity or panel stiffness decides the job, and the clear PET core when the lowest profile and an invisible bond line matter more. Neither one is an unsupported transfer film. Both carry adhesive on a film core, which is what makes them handle and die cut the way they do. Compare constructions across the double coated and transfer tape range, or see the full Macbond line at Mactac.
