Pacer ANA-LOK 42 Medium Strength Threadlocker, 1 Liter Bottle

Description

Pacer ANA-LOK 42 threadlocker is a medium strength, removable anaerobic locking compound for metal fasteners. The blue formula wicks into the gap between mating threads, cures where air is excluded, and holds nuts and bolts against vibration loosening. Strength is balanced for serviceability, so a wrench still backs the fastener out when maintenance calls for disassembly. The 1 liter bottle is the production size for assembly lines and repair benches that go through small bottles too quickly.

Where ANA-LOK 42 Threadlocker Works

ANL-42 is the nut grade of the Pacer ANL series. Use it on machinery mounting bolts, pump and gearbox housings, conveyor hardware, and general fasteners up to 3/4 inch where future service is expected. Threads should be clean and dry. Apply to three to five male threads, fill the thread gap fully around the fastener, and assemble within a few minutes. For blind holes, add two or three drops to the bottom of the hole first so trapped air cannot keep the compound out of the threads. Keep it off plastics, since anaerobic compounds stress-crack many polymers.

How ANA-LOK 42 Threadlocker Holds Up

On steel, the compound fixtures in under 20 minutes and reaches full cure in 24 hours at 70°F. Cured breakaway torque runs 70 to 150 inch pounds with prevailing torque of 25 to 60 inch pounds, enough to stop self-loosening without seizing the joint. Service range is -65 to 300°F after cure. The formula meets MIL-S-46163A Type II Grade N and ASTM D5363 group 03 requirements. In cold shops, mild heat or an anaerobic primer speeds the cure along.
