Description
Permabond® 790 is an ultra-fast setting, low-viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive designed for surface-insensitive bonding, including acidic materials like wood, plated surfaces, and difficult-to-bond plastics, metals, ceramics, and elastomers. Its wicking formula makes it ideal for post-assembly applications, micro-crack sealing, and precision bonding.
This single-component adhesive cures rapidly at room temperature upon contact with surface moisture. It meets MIL-SPEC MIL-A-46050C Type II, Class 1, ensuring compliance for military, aerospace, and industrial applications.
For customers seeking alternatives to Loctite® 420, 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ CA40H, or Permatex® Surface-Insensitive Super Glue, Permabond 790 provides an ultra-fast, high-performance solution.

- Wood, plated metals, ceramics, and rubber bonding
- Automotive, aerospace, and military applications
- Precision electronics and medical device assembly
- Rapid repairs for industrial tools and components
Directions for Use
- Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and grease-free. Use acetone or isopropanol for best results.
- Apply Permabond 790 sparingly to one surface only.
- For wicking applications, allow the adhesive to seep naturally into joints or cracks.
- Quickly align and press components together. Apply even pressure to ensure a thin, even adhesive film.
- Hold in place for 2-3 seconds until initial bond forms.
- Allow 24 hours for full strength development.
- For difficult or porous surfaces, use Permabond CSA or QFS 16 Activator.
🔹 Note: For bonding polypropylene, polyethylene, PTFE, or silicone, use Permabond Polyolefin Primer (POP) before applying adhesive.
