Description
Permabond 2011 is a thixotropic ethyl cyanoacrylate instant adhesive gel designed for controlled, non-drip application. It is used for vertical bonding, porous substrates, and assemblies where gap filling is required.
This fast-setting adhesive bonds metals, plastics, elastomers, ceramics, and wood. Permabond 2011 is approved to CID A-A-3097 Type II Class 5 and is NSF approved as a Non-food Compound, Category Code S4, Registration No. 155298.

Performance in Production
- Gel viscosity helps keep adhesive in place on vertical surfaces.
- Non-drip flow control supports controlled manual dispensing.
- Fast fixture speed helps parts reach handling strength in seconds.
- Surface-insensitive formulation supports bonding on difficult, porous, or acidic surfaces.
- Larger gaps and acidic surfaces can reduce cure speed.
- Permabond CSA or Permabond QFS 16 can be used when cure speed needs support on difficult or porous surfaces.
- Full strength develops in 24 hours.
- Cured bonds can withstand brief higher-temperature exposure, such as paint baking or wave soldering, when the joint is not highly stressed.
- Bond strength will vary with surface preparation and bond gap.
- Surfaces should be clean, dry, and grease-free before bonding.
- Aluminum, copper, and copper alloys may benefit from light abrasion before bonding.
