Description
The Fast-Con self-tapping screw in 316 stainless steel, 4.8 mm diameter by 9.5 mm length, is the dedicated installation screw for Specialinsert’s Fast-Con snap fastening system. It threads into the female Fast-Con base to anchor the male clip into a panel, sheet, or substrate without pre-drilling tap holes in field conditions.
What the Fast-Con self-tapping screw does
Fast-Con is a patented mechanical snap-fit system that lets two parts connect by simply pressing them together, and separate again with light traction on the panel. The self-tapping screw is the consumable that locks the male component to its host material. Using the correct screw is what gives the assembly its hold strength and removal-cycle durability.

Where the Fast-Con self-tapping screw is used
Specialinsert designed Fast-Con for industries that install and remove cladding, signage, panels, and trim repeatedly: aerospace and defense maintenance, transportation vehicles, sign and display fabrication, marine refits, countertop and stone fabrication, and architectural facades. 316 stainless steel is the right grade for marine, outdoor, and chemically aggressive environments.
