Description

Adhesive that cures inside the mixing nozzle is money in the trash. Every purge, every stop in the run, and every nozzle you pull off the cartridge takes retained adhesive with it. On expensive epoxies and thermally conductive pastes it adds up fast.

The Xemex X2-A5-7L Low-Waste Static Mixer holds just 0.6 mL of retained volume. Seven Xemex mixing elements in a 50.5 mm body deliver mixing performance equivalent to a 24-element traditional mixer, so less material stays behind in the nozzle on every cycle.

The luer-lock outlet threads on and locks needles and precision dispensing tips for controlled bead placement. The A-system bayonet inlet fits standard bayonet cartridges at 1:1 through 10:1 ratios and works with manual guns, pneumatic guns, and automated or cobot dispensing.

Compatible with epoxies, methacrylates (MMA), urethanes, and silicones. Designed and manufactured in the United States.

Why does adhesive harden inside a mixing nozzle?

Once the two components meet in the mixer, the cure starts. Whatever is sitting in the nozzle when you stop dispensing will set up and get thrown away with the mixer. The larger the mixer’s internal volume, the more you lose on every stop and every changeover.

How much adhesive does a static mixer waste?

It depends on the mixer’s retained volume. The X2-A5-7L holds 0.6 mL. Longer traditional helical and square-element mixers hold considerably more, and that difference repeats on every cartridge and every purge.

Does a shorter static mixer still mix properly?

The X2-A5-7L achieves mixing performance equivalent to a 24-element traditional mixer using seven Xemex elements. The gain comes from the internal element geometry, not from added length.

What is the difference between a luer-lock and a luer-slip mixing nozzle tip?

A luer-lock outlet threads on and locks a needle or precision tip in place. A luer-slip outlet holds the tip by friction fit, which makes changes faster but gives up the mechanical lock. Choose luer-lock when the needle has to stay put under dispensing pressure, luer-slip when you are swapping tips often.

Will the X2-A5-7L fit my cartridge?

It fits standard A-system bayonet cartridges at 1:1, 2:1, 4:1, and 10:1 ratios. If your cartridge or meter-mix unit uses a bell, threaded, or F-style outlet, use the matching Xemex connection style from the comparison table above.

Can a static mixer be reused?

No. Once adhesive cures inside, the mixer is done. Standard practice is to leave the spent mixer on the cartridge as a seal and fit a fresh one for the next run.
