Description
The Chem-Set M1B38 sink anchor fastener is a male-threaded stud on a 1.5 inch (38mm) round baseplate, sold in a bag of 100 with matching wingnuts included. Fabricators bond the baseplate to the underside of natural stone, solid surface, or engineered stone countertops and use the stud, washer, and wingnut to secure an undermount sink bracket beneath it.
Why this sink anchor fastener skips drilling
Cutting or drilling into finished stone to mount a sink bracket adds risk of chips, cracks, and wasted material on an already-fabricated top. This part bonds to the stone with a quick-setting adhesive instead, so the mounting point goes in without a single hole. The stud and wingnut then let the installer tension a bracket against the sink rim from below, the same way a drilled anchor would, without ever touching a drill bit to the countertop.
