Thickness Selection & Adhesive Requirements
CarbonBar Hidden Island Supports are available in two strict dimensional profiles to match your routing depth capabilities. Choosing the correct adhesive for your chosen thickness profile is critical to achieving maximum structural load ratings.
- 0.4″ Standard Rigidity: The baseline choice for maximum independent overhang support. Install using standard silicone or construction adhesive.
- 0.2″ Ultra-Thin Rigidity: Engineered for minimal routing depth.
CRITICAL ADHESIVE WARNING: To guarantee structural integrity, 0.2″ profiles MUST be laminated or bonded to the stone using high-performance structural adhesives like CarbonBond™ Epoxy or CarbonBond 1C Hybrid Adhesive. Silicone is not sufficient for 0.2″ profiles.

Hardware Included: CarbonConnect™ Direct
Unlike raw flat stock, every Hidden Island Support Bracket arrives completely ready to install. Two (2) CarbonConnect Direct mounting fittings are included with every bracket. Simply rout or chisel a pocket in the cabinet frame, anchor the CarbonConnect Direct fittings securely into the wood, and drop the CarbonBar into the channels. This system guarantees a locked-in, perfectly flush mount without the need for custom job site fabrication.

Each bracket is designed to span a standard 24″ cabinet base and cantilever outward. Depending on the stone material and installation method, these structural brackets are engineered to support up to 6 inches of stone past their own physical length.
