Description
SynthoGlass red compression film is used during installation of high-temp engineered pipe repair systems. The film wraps over the curing composite to apply uniform compression while the resin sets, producing the bond density that high-temperature service requires. Red film is the high-performance grade, intended for elevated operating temperatures and engineered repair scenarios.
Benefits
- Compression curing for high-temp composite repair laminates
- Conforms tightly to pipe geometry during cure
- Removable by perforation after cure, or may remain in place
- Pairs with the silicone bonding tape for self-adhering wrap
Common Applications
- High-temperature pipe repair installations
- Engineering-restricted composite repair where the red film is specified
- Compatible with all SynthoGlass engineered repair kits and standard repair products
Component Selection
- 5 in x 200 ft roll for smaller-diameter pipe and shorter spans
- 12 in x 500 ft roll for larger-diameter pipe and longer repair lengths
- 1 in x 10 ft silicone bonding tape, used to anchor the film start and finish
Ordering
Pick the wrap size that fits the pipe diameter and repair length. Add the silicone tape as a separate line if needed. Lead time is 21 days backorder until DDI inventory is established. Consult CS-NRI or Chemical Concepts engineering for high-temp or high-pressure specifications.
