Indoor and outdoor seaming adhesive for stone fabrication
Integra Horizon outdoor seaming adhesive is a UV resistant, non-yellowing, 10:1 two-part methacrylate for seaming and bonding quartz, porcelain, sintered stone, ceramic, natural stone and solid surface, indoors and out. One cartridge covers the kitchen counter and the pool deck.
Horizon runs the way a seaming adhesive should on the shop floor: purge, mix, bead, clamp and clean up inside the working time. The cartridge meters and mixes at a fixed 10:1 through a static mixer, and the colors are developed to match leading surface brands.

The 250ml cartridge is a 10:1 format. It will not run in a 1:1 or 2:1 gun.

+Performance in Production
- The 8 to 13 minute working time is a short window. Set the seam, check alignment and remove squeeze-out before it closes. Clamps stay on until the 20 to 30 minute fixture time is reached.
- Flexural strength above 4,000 psi is listed on natural stone, quartz, sintered stone and porcelain. One adhesive carries one strength figure across the four slab materials a shop seams in a week.
- A QUV color shift of ΔE* below 1.50 on popular colors means the cured seam shows very little color change in accelerated UV testing. That is the data behind the UV resistant, non-yellowing positioning. Ask us for the figure on the color you run.
- Temperature cycling from -40 to 158 degrees F supports exterior seams that see cold nights and hot sun, such as outdoor kitchen counters and pool edges.
- The non-sag formula holds the bead on vertical seams, cladding and fireplace surrounds without running.
- The recommended bond line is under 0.04 in (1.0 mm), so plan on tight, well-fitted joints. Horizon is specified as a seaming adhesive, not a gap filler.

+How to Seam Stone with Integra Horizon
Seaming with Horizon is a purge, mix, bead, clamp and clean-up routine on clean, dry stone, run from a 10:1 cartridge dispenser. Surfaces need to be clean, dry and free of dust, oil and debris. Wipe with isopropyl alcohol or denatured alcohol before bonding, and run a test bond before large-scale fabrication to confirm compatibility and color match.
- Load the cartridge into an Integra-approved 10:1 cartridge dispenser such as the Integra 250ml Manual Dispensing Gun.
- Purge until both components flow evenly.
- Attach one of the two X-Stream mixing tips supplied with the cartridge and purge again until the color is consistent.
- Apply a steady bead directly to the substrate with enough material for a small amount of squeeze-out.
- Clamp with the right pressure, or support the pieces, until the fixture time is reached.
- Remove excess adhesive inside the working time.
- After full cure, remove the clamps and clean up as needed.
The process runs on quartz, porcelain, ceramic, sintered stone, natural stone and solid surface. Keep the work between 60 and 80 degrees F. Below 55 or above 90 degrees F, Integra notes that working and fixture times change and the seam can cure incompletely, yellow or lose bond strength.

Ultra was Integra’s outdoor formulation and Zero was its no-drip formulation, and Horizon covers both jobs in one cartridge: UV and weather resistance for exterior work and a non-sag formula for vertical work. Run a test bond on your material before you move a production job over.
Is Integra Horizon UV resistant and non-yellowing for outdoor use?
Yes. Horizon is Integra’s UV resistant, non-yellowing methacrylate for exterior stone fabrication. In QUV accelerated weathering tests, popular colors such as Trans White, Lunar Pearl and Fieldstone measured a color change (ΔE*) below 1.50, and the exact value varies by color. Apply it inside the 60 to 80 degree F operating range, since Integra notes yellowing can result from use outside it.
