Description
Integra Xi+ 500ml (Surface Bonder Xi+) is a 10:1 two-part, pre-colored seaming adhesive for quartz, porcelain, sintered surfaces, natural stone and marble, solid surface and ceramic. Fabricators use it indoors for deck seams, laminations and mitered edges. The 500ml cartridge runs through a static mixer on a matching 10:1 dispenser, so there is no hand mixing or tinting, and the color and ratio are set before the bead reaches the joint. GREENGUARD Gold certified. Made in USA.
Xi+ replaces Surface Bonder Xi. Integra lists the color range and fixture time as unchanged. What changed is the substrate list and the hazard classification, covered in the FAQ below.
The 500ml size is offered in a limited range of colors: Arctic White 3076, Bone 0040, Bright White 3011, Fieldstone 3246, Glacier White 3006, Magic 3091, Manila 0133, Natural 0130, Perfect White 3172, Pure White 0190, Snow White 0230, Stellar Grey 2403, Transparent White 0271, Tusk 3148, White Chocolate 0300 and White Linen 0310. The full color range is available in the 250ml cartridge.

Performance in Production
- The 9 to 14 minute working time gives you room to dispense the bead, close the joint and adjust the fit before the adhesive sets. Plan longer seams so you finish inside that window.
- Fixture time of 20 to 30 minutes at 60°F to 80°F is how long the joint needs to stay clamped or supported before you move the piece.
- The 0.002 to 0.040 in bond line range is the gap Integra specifies. Tight, consistent seams keep the joint inside it.
- The 10:1 cartridge and static mixer meter and blend the two parts as you dispense. No hand mixing, no tinting, and you only mix what you use.
- Shop temperature matters. Operating range is 60°F to 80°F, and Integra warns that use below 55°F or above 90°F can cause incomplete cure, yellowing and poor bond strength. Watch it in winter and on job sites.
- Integra publishes max stress above 4000 psi on solid surface, porcelain, sintered stone, quartz and granite, and lists integral mounted sinks and bowls among the applications subject to dynamic loads.
Common Applications
- Deck seams on quartz, natural stone, marble and solid surface countertops
- Seams on porcelain and sintered stone slabs
- Laminations and edge build-ups
- Mitered edges
- Integral mounted sinks and bowls
- Ceramic countertop and surface work indoors where the seam has to match the slab color

How a Xi+ Seam Goes Together
Xi+ is a cartridge system, so the ratio and color are set at the factory and the mixing happens in the tip. The shop steps:
- Match the color. Use the Color Match Tool or the free Integra Adhesives app, then pick that color from the selector.
- Load the 10:1 cartridge into a matching dispenser and fit a new X-Stream mixing tip.
- Dispense the mixed adhesive into the joint and keep the bond line between 0.002 and 0.040 in.
- Close and set the joint inside the 9 to 14 minute working time.
- Keep the joint clamped or supported through the 20 to 30 minute fixture time at 60°F to 80°F.
The process runs on porcelain, solid surface, quartz, stone and marble, ceramic and sintered surfaces. Integra’s TDS does not cover surface prep. Follow your shop’s standard practice and call us with any substrate that is not on that list.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Integra Surface Bonder Xi+ 500ml used for?
It is used for indoor countertop seaming. Fabricators run it on deck seams, laminations and mitered edges in quartz, porcelain, sintered surfaces, natural stone and marble, solid surface and ceramic. Integra also lists integral mounted sinks and bowls among the applications subject to dynamic loads.
What is the difference between Surface Bonder Xi and Xi+?
Xi+ is the current formula and Xi is the legacy product. Integra lists the color range, fixture time and sag as the same. Xi+ adds porcelain, sintered surfaces and marble to the substrate list and carries two hazard symbols instead of three. Xi+ is GREENGUARD Gold certified.
What dispenser and mixer does the Xi+ 500ml cartridge need?
A 10:1 500ml dispenser and a static mixing tip. The mix ratio is 10:1 by volume, so a 1:1 or 2:1 gun will not work. The table above lists the Integra 500ml manual dispenser and the X-Stream mixing tip.
What substrates does Surface Bonder Xi+ work on?
Integra lists porcelain, solid surface, quartz, stone and marble, ceramic and sintered surfaces. Published max stress is above 4000 psi on solid surface, porcelain, sintered stone, quartz and granite. For a substrate that is not on that list, call us before you commit to production.
Can I use Xi+ outdoors?
No. Integra lists Xi+ for indoor use. For seams that need an indoor and outdoor product, see Surface Bonder Horizon.
How long is the working time and fixture time for Xi+?
Working time is 9 to 14 minutes and fixture time is 20 to 30 minutes at an operating temperature of 60°F to 80°F. Integra does not publish a separate time to polish, so test a sample seam in your shop conditions before you set a production schedule.
Does Xi+ 500ml come in my color?
The 500ml size is offered in a limited range of colors, listed above. The full Xi+ range of more than 300 colors is in the 250ml cartridge. Run your slab through the Color Match Tool, or call us with the slab name.
Is Surface Bonder Xi+ GREENGUARD Gold certified, and where is it made?
Yes. Xi+ holds GREENGUARD Gold certification under UL 2818, tested to CDPH Standard Method V1.2 in an office and classroom environment. It is made in the USA.
