Description
LORD® Maxlok MX/T6 is a two-component acrylic structural adhesive designed to replace welding, brazing, riveting, and other mechanical fastening methods. It bonds a wide range of metals and plastics with minimal surface preparation and provides strong performance across demanding temperature environments and structural applications.
MX/T6 is the medium working-time version in the Maxlok series, offering a 6–9 minute working time and handling strength in approximately 20–24 minutes at 77°F (25°C). The adhesive is supplied in 4:1 mix ratio cartridges and is available in 50 mL and 415 mL packaging for manual dispensing systems.
This formulation is commonly used in manufacturing environments where strong structural bonds, controlled bondline thickness, and reliable performance under environmental exposure are required.

Available in multiple working times across the Maxlok series to match production needs
Application and Handling Notes
-
Designed for use with LORD Maxlok MX accelerator in a 4:1 ratio.
-
Cartridge systems automatically meter the correct mix ratio during dispensing.
-
Surfaces should be free of grease, loose contamination, or poorly adhered oxides prior to bonding.
-
Adhesive cures at room temperature, with full cure typically achieved in 24 hours.
-
Cure rate may be accelerated with moderate heat below 150°F (66°C) if required.
-
Equipment and tools should be cleaned before cure using solvents such as isopropyl alcohol, acetone, or MEK.
