Description
This size has been discontinued. The 5 gram bottle of Pacer PX-50, part number FG05085, is no longer available. The adhesive itself is unchanged and still stocked, just not in this package. PX-50 is now offered in a 20 gram bottle and a 1 lb bulk bottle.
This is a package change, not a formulation change. Nothing about the ethyl propyl chemistry, the 30 to 80 cP viscosity, the .004 in gap fill, or the MIL-A-46050C Type II, Class 1 rating has moved. If you were buying the 5 gram, the 20 gram is the same adhesive in a bottle four times the size and needs no requalification.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is FG05085 still available?
No. Pacer part FG05085, the 5 gram bottle of PX-50, has been discontinued. The adhesive is unchanged and still stocked in a 20 gram bottle, part FG05080, and a 1 lb bottle, part FG05083.
Is the 20 gram the same adhesive as the discontinued 5 gram?
Yes, identical. Same ethyl propyl chemistry, same 30 to 80 cP viscosity, same .004 in gap fill, same MIL-A-46050C Type II, Class 1 rating. This was a package discontinuation, not a formulation change, so nothing needs requalifying.
I only need a small quantity. What are my options?
The 20 gram is the smallest PX-50 package now, and it’s sold in case quantity of 10. Call or email us if you need a single bottle for a trial or a low-volume application and we’ll work something out. If a thin general purpose grade would serve, Pacer E-5 is still offered in a 5 gram bottle, though it is a general purpose ethyl cyanoacrylate rather than the plastics chemistry.
Are any Pacer cyanoacrylates still available in a 5 gram bottle?
Yes. Pacer E-5, the water-thin 2 to 10 cP general purpose grade, is currently offered in a 5 gram bottle sold in case quantity. It is not a plastics-specific chemistry, so if you were using PX-50 for its performance on ABS or PVC, the 20 gram PX-50 is the better move.
I have 5 gram bottles in stock. Are they still usable?
Depends on age and storage. Pacer’s stated shelf life is one year when refrigerated unopened at 40F (4C), brought to room temperature before opening, then kept in a cool, dry location. A package discontinuation does not affect material you already have, but a cyanoacrylate past its shelf life thickens noticeably. Test on scrap before you put it on a production part.
