Description
Surface Bonder Xi is now Xi+
Same 10:1 cartridge, same fixture time, same sag and same color range as Xi, per Integra. What changed is substrate coverage and safety classification.
- Adds porcelain, sintered surfaces and marble to the substrate list
- Carries two hazard symbols instead of three
- Still GREENGUARD Gold certified for indoor air quality
Seaming adhesive for hard surface fabrication
Xi+ covers porcelain, solid surface, quartz, stone and marble, ceramic and sintered surfaces with one cartridge system, for deck seams, laminations and mitered edges indoors.
The cartridge meters and mixes at a fixed 10:1 ratio through a static mixer, so the color comes out the same every time and the cure is uniform. No mixing board, no sticks, no pigment guessing, and you only dispense what you use.

+Choosing Your Color
Integra matches the most popular quartz, solid surface and natural stone lines on the market, including Corian, Cambria, Silestone, Caesarstone and Hanstone. Colors are listed alphabetically in the selector above.
- Know your slab name? Run it through our Color Match Tool to get the adhesive color, then pick it from the list.
- At the slab? The free Integra Adhesives app has the same matches on your phone, plus an adhesive calculator for estimating how many cartridges a job needs.
- Working from a photo? The natural stone seam gallery shows finished seams on real slabs.
- Nothing matches? Custom formulations are available, including faster cure, extended working time and increased flexibility. Send us the slab name and we will quote it.
Color runs the same cartridge to cartridge, so a seam you pull today matches one you pull next month on the same job.
+What You Need to Dispense It
The 250ml cartridge is a 10:1 format. It will not run in a 1:1 or 2:1 gun.
| Item | Notes |
|---|---|
| X-Stream Static Mixing Tip | One per seam. Bayonet fit, splits the activator into two streams for better mixing. |
| Integra 250ml Manual Dispenser, 10:1 | The standard gun for this cartridge. 18:1 mechanical advantage, non-drip release between pulls. |
| DP2X-200 Pneumatic Cartridge Gun, 10:1 | Air-powered option for high-volume shops. Cuts hand fatigue on long seaming days. |
Need a smaller or larger cartridge? The 100ml runs in the Integra 100ml dispenser, which uses the standard 10 oz caulk gun format. The 500ml needs a 500ml 10:1 dispenser and covers larger jobs with fewer cartridge changes.
+What Fabricators Use It For
- Deck seams on quartz, stone, porcelain and solid surface
- Edge laminations and build-ups, including CNC edge profiling
- Mitered edges and waterfall joints
- V-grooving
- Integral mounted sinks and bowls, and other joints under dynamic load
Polishes to match the gloss of the surrounding material, so a finished seam disappears into the slab. Xi+ is an interior product. For pool edges, outdoor kitchens, exterior trim or anything with sun exposure, use Surface Bonder Horizon instead.
+Surface Bonder Xi+ FAQ
What is the mix ratio for Surface Bonder Xi+?
10:1 by volume, adhesive to activator. The cartridge meters it automatically, so you need a matching 250ml 10:1 dispenser and an X-Stream static mixing tip. A 1:1 or 2:1 gun will not work.
Can I use Surface Bonder Xi+ outdoors?
No. Integra lists Xi+ for indoor use. For anything exposed to sun, rain or freeze-thaw, use Surface Bonder Horizon, the Integra adhesive rated for both interior and exterior. Horizon is the right pick for pool edges, outdoor kitchens, exterior trim, vertical cladding and exterior flooring. It publishes the data behind that rating: temperature cycling from -40°F to 158°F under ASTM D1183-03, and QUV color change below ΔE 1.50 on popular colors, under the ΔE 2.5 visibility threshold. Horizon runs on the same 10:1 dispenser and X-Stream tip as Xi+, so switching costs you nothing in equipment.
What is the difference between Surface Bonder Xi and Xi+?
Integra lists fixture time, color count and sag as unchanged. Xi+ adds porcelain, sintered surfaces and marble to the substrate list and carries two hazard symbols instead of three. Xi+ is GREENGUARD Gold certified.
How many colors does Surface Bonder Xi+ come in?
More than 300 pre-mixed colors, matched to the most popular quartz, solid surface and natural stone lines including Corian, Cambria, Silestone, Caesarstone and Hanstone. Custom formulations are available if your slab is not covered.
How long until I can polish an Xi+ seam?
Fixture time is 20 to 30 minutes at 60°F to 80°F. Integra does not publish a separate time to polish, so test a sample seam in your shop conditions before you set a production schedule. Use below 55°F may cause incomplete cure.
Does Surface Bonder Xi+ work on solid surface?
Yes. Integra lists solid surface along with porcelain, quartz, stone and marble, ceramic and sintered surfaces as Xi+ substrates.
How much adhesive does a job need?
Depends on seam length and bond line. The Integra adhesive calculator gives an estimate from your dimensions. Recommended bond line is 0.002 to 0.040 inches.
