When This Is the Right Bottle

• Your parts fit badly and the assembly gets wet. .020 in of gap plus the best immersion figures Pacer publishes is a combination nothing else in the line has.
• The joint cycles through temperature. 93% strength retention through 20 swings from -22F to 158F, and the figure is flat between 10 and 20 cycles.
• You are bonding dissimilar materials. A thick grade lets you run a full bond line rather than clamping two parts that expand at different rates down to hard contact.
• Don’t use it on close-fitting parts. At 2500 to 3500 cP a thick adhesive holds tight parts apart, and MR-290 at 250 to 350 cP carries the same temperature range and nearly the same strength.
• Sold in case quantity of 10, which suits stocking several stations or a service fleet rather than a single-bottle purchase.
• Trial here before you commit. MR chemistry gets specified for a service condition, so put it on the actual part with the actual exposure, then step up to the 1 lb.
